The concept of “upcycling“  is the artform of taking disposable items and giving them new life as functional art objects.  The necklace featured here is made from sterling silver.  I salvaged the image from an damaged children’s book, placed it in a handmade silver setting and then sealed it under resin. This piece has a unique handmade clasp which connects the necklace by hooking through the eye of a fish.
